The Shibuya options on this site are fewer than in Shinjuku and more specialised. Traveling Tokyo runs an evening walk with food from an izakaya, a street stall and a traditional eatery, followed by dessert. Tokyo Ramen Tours starts both of its ramen walks here, one with pork, chicken and fish broths and one with vegan bowls. The ramen class of Viyago Japan is one train stop away. All four meet at a different spot.

The evening route of the Shibuya food tour

Traveling Tokyo meets in front of the 7-Eleven near Center Gai and Tokyu Plaza and keeps the group to ten. The listing gives this order, marked as a guide only:

StopWhat happensTime
Center Gai (Chuo-Gai) Meeting point and start
Shibuya Food and guided walk About 1 h
Center Gai Food and guided walk About 1 h
Shibuya Crossing Photo stop About 10 min
Dogenzaka Food and guided walk About 50 min

Two drinks are included, with or without alcohol; alcohol is served only to guests aged 20 and over. Some of the venues sit in basements or on upper floors without a lift, so expect stairs. The operator asks you to mention allergies and dietary needs in advance.

Thirteen dishes, three eateries or four

The title of the tour promises 13 dishes at three eateries. The web address of the same listing says four eateries, and the list of what is included names an izakaya, a street food stall, a traditional eatery and dessert, without a dish count. That makes three places to eat plus a dessert stop. Treat the 13 as a rough guide to variety. The same operator’s Shinjuku tour has a similar mismatch, with 15 dishes in the title and 13 in the description.

Ramen from Shibuya

Both ramen walks of Tokyo Ramen Tours begin in Shibuya, but not at the same place. The vegan walk meets in front of Shibu Hachi Box, across from the Hachiko statue, and takes the train to Shinjuku, where it ends; bring a transport card or cash for the fare. The six-bowl walk usually starts in Shibuya and ends in Ebisu or Shinjuku, and the operator also runs it from Shinjuku and Ueno, so the meeting point depends on the date you pick. Expect about 3 km on foot with some hills. If you would rather make the noodles than eat them, the class at Ikejiri-Ohashi is compared on our ramen class page.

Sake in Udagawacho

For a drink before or after the food, Japan Wonder Travel runs a 70-minute sake tasting in a standing bar above Whiskey Bank in Udagawacho, for guests over 20 only. It is set next to the tastings in Kanda, Tsukiji and Asakusa on our sake tasting page.

Guests on the Shibuya evening walk and the ramen tours

The critical reviews of the evening walk say different things. A German guest called it accompanied eating in two restaurants with little about the neighbourhood, which matches the doubt over how many eateries the listing counts. A New Zealand guest who got stuck in the crowd at the crossing on the way to the start found the first dumpling restaurant weak but praised the guide. On the six-bowl ramen walk, a British guest found two of the shops right opposite each other, which left little time between bowls.

Josua · Switzerland · September 2026 Shibuya Food Tour · Traveling Tokyo
“It was not a “tour” in the actual sense, more “accompanied eating in 2 restaurants”. Our guide Hoshi was friendly and shared some information about the dishes, nothing about the neighbourhood. The food / the restaurants were very tasty. …”

Rob · New Zealand · April 2026 Shibuya Food Tour · Traveling Tokyo
“Underwhelming and expensive Strange to have two of the three ramen places right opposite each other - meant you barely got a break in between eating. The guide was friendly but not very informative, the ramen presentation on her iPad was extremely short and lacking in detail. …”
